Text limits are for the platform's primary post type. Where a limit is shown as threading, long text posts are split into a self-reply thread rather than rejected.

How to read this

  • Post types — what the platform accepts. A post you send to several platforms only publishes to the ones that accept its type.
  • Hashtags — whether tags become inline #hashtags in the post text, go into a dedicated tag field, or are dropped because the platform has nowhere to put them.
  • Link — whether the platform has a real link field, whether we add the URL to your post text instead, or whether links simply aren't clickable there.
  • Archiving — whether we back up your published posts from that platform automatically.
  • Posts to a — platforms where a connection covers several destinations, and each post names which one it's for.

One post, many platforms

You write a post once and pick the accounts it goes to. Each platform then uses the fields it has a place for and ignores the rest — a Title becomes the video title on YouTube, the caption on TikTok, and nothing at all on Instagram. No field is silently merged somewhere you didn't expect.

Each platform page has a diagram and a table showing exactly where its fields land, so you can check before you publish rather than after.

Limits are checked before a post is scheduled, not at publish time. If something won't fit — a caption over the limit, an image the platform won't take — you hear about it while you can still fix it.
