LinkedIn Integration
LinkedIn accepts more kinds of post than any other platform we support: text, images, video, link articles, native PDF documents, and polls. Publish to your personal profile, or to a Company Page you administer.
At a glance
| What it's for | Professional posts — text, images, video, link articles, native PDF documents, and polls. |
|---|---|
| Post types | Text, Image, Video, Article, Document, Poll |
| Account needed | A personal LinkedIn profile, or a Company Page you administer. |
| How you connect | OAuth. Company Pages connect through a separate LinkedIn Business connection, where you then pick the Page. |
| Content archiving | LinkedIn publishes no API for reading this account type's own posts, so there is nothing for us to collect. |
Connecting your account
There are two LinkedIn connections, and which you want depends on where you publish.
- LinkedIn — posts to your personal profile. Approve it and you're done.
- LinkedIn Business — posts to a Company Page. Approve it, then pick the Page. Posts reference the Page by nickname, the same way Facebook Pages work.
Connecting one has no effect on the other, and both can be connected at once.
What you type, and where it shows up
Everything a reader sees in the feed comes from Content. Title is metadata — it names an attached file rather than appearing as a headline — except on an article, where it is the headline on the preview card, and on a document, where it labels the PDF.

The richer post types
- Article — a link post that renders as a preview card. The Link is required; the Title becomes the card headline and Content is the commentary above it.
- Document — a PDF that readers page through inside the feed, without leaving LinkedIn. Good for carousels, reports, and one-pagers.
- Poll — a question with two to four answer options, open for a set number of days.
You can also set a first comment, posted automatically right after the post goes live — the usual place to put a link you'd rather keep out of the post body.
Media requirements
| Images per post | up to 9 (at least 1) |
|---|---|
| Image formats | JPG, PNG, GIF |
| Max image size | 20.0 MB |
| Video formats | MP4, MOV, AVI, WMV, FLV, WEBM |
| Max video size | 5.0 GB |
| Video length | at least 3 seconds, up to 10 minutes |
| Max document size | 100.0 MB |
| If your file doesn't fit | We convert it for you where we can — images become JPG and video becomes MP4. Files we can't bring within these limits are reported before the post is scheduled, not after. |
Per-post options
| Option | What it does | Default | Applies to |
|---|---|---|---|
Save as DraftsaveAsDraft | Save as draft for later editing instead of publishing immediately | Off | All post types |
These are the options LinkedIn exposes to partner tools through its API. Platforms often test new settings inside their own app long before opening them to tools like ours — when that happens the option simply isn't available to us until they publish it.
Scheduling
Schedule LinkedIn posts for any future time — see Scheduled Posting for how times, timezones, and cancellation work.
Metrics
This is the honest state of LinkedIn analytics, and it depends entirely on which connection the account uses. A personal profile has none — LinkedIn publishes no API for member analytics, so every row below reads the same. Company Page analytics arrive once our Community Management API access is approved.

Personal LinkedIn profiles only. Company Pages are gated on a separate approval rather than unavailable outright.
